Why should I use PROTECTION PLUS kits instead of a bra and/or bug shield?

Bra's and bug shields are not permanently affixed to the vehicle and cause chaffing to the paint. PROTECTION PLUS KITS protect the painted surface without damaging the paint and does not change the appearance of the vehicle.

Will it really stop rocks from chipping the front of the vehicle?

Yes. The material was originally designed by aerospace engineers to protect the leading edges of aircraft propellers and rotor blades from rock chips. It is a much easier task to protect your vehicles paint than it is to protect a propeller moving at nearly the speed of sound.

Can I see the film after it has been applied?

The material is 99.5% clear and is virtually invisible.

How is the kit applied?

The film material comes to us in a large roll. Our machines cut the film into

shapes designed to fit various parts of your vehicle. These pieces are then applied by our certified installer or you can install them yourself.

How long will it last?

PROTECTION PLUS Film Kits have an average life span between seven and ten years.

Will my paint fade differently under the PROTECTION PLUS film kits that it does the rest of the vehicle?

No. The material contains an inhibitor to prevent the film reacting to the sun's UV rays but this does not prevent the UV rays from passing through the film into your paint.

What if I want to take my vehicle through a car wash or have it waxed?

You can do anything to the PROTECTION PLUS film kits that you would do to the rest of the vehicle's finish. The shield will accept wax and polish just as your paint does and will last longer with regular application.

Note: You must wait 2 to 15 days before waxing after it has been applied. (Depending On The Climate)

What do I do when wax builds up on the leading edges of the film when I wax my vehicle?

A soft, damp terrycloth towel, Q-tips or soft brush will remove any wax build-up that may occur.

Can it be removed or replaced?

Yes. It can be removed by a certified installer without doing any damage to the vehicles finish. The car is then prepped again and a new PROTECTION PLUS film kit can be applied.

Will my vehicle's performace be affected?

NO. Because PROTECTION PLUS film kits are installed to perfectly fit and conform to the vehicle's shape and contour, it will not exert any drag force on your vehicle, nor cause any wind noise or wiper flutter.

Is PROTECTION PLUS Guaranteed?

Yes, PROTECTION PLUS has a 5-10 Year warranty on films we carry.

Will PROTECTION PLUS affect the manufacturer's warranty?

No. The manufacturer's warranty is not affected because the paints finish and metal of your vehicle is not tampered with in any way. PROTECTION PLUS, and the application process do not require any drilling of holes or perforation of metal. The application of PROTECTION PLUS film kits are OEM approved.
